Today, I will be reviewing Sorce’s Meet Me On Sunnyside. I received this sample as a freebie with my purchase which I made on March 31st so I was just on the cusp to receive it. It was definitely a surprise to hear that a new scent was dropping and that I would get to try it! I have only ordered from Sorce twice and I am still getting to know their catalogue and what I like and don’t like. This order was to get larger sizes of 2 am In Lafayette and Match Made In Heaven. I never thought I would be into gourmands but these were genuinely so nice and long lasting.
The notes for Meet Me On Sunnyside are clementine, osmanthus, vanilla ice cream, and petrichor. I believe it was available to purchase on May 1st, 2026.ย

The sample is a beautiful goldenrod color with a matching orange label! Fits the vibes perfectly. It looks like the full size art is a landscape forest picture that leans into the atmospheric petrichor notes.
When I heard that the new sample would smell like creamsicle, osmanthus, and petrichor, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it as I am not super into citrus, and I am not too familiar with osmanthus. But the novelty of having an item people can’t purchase was exciting and made me want to try it instantly. I have tried it twice now.
Initially, I think I got a lot of osmanthus. My only experience with osmanthus is flavoring in candy, but it has a very strong floral scent. To my nose, it is fruity, green, and peachy. It’s heady.. and it has a sliiight funk (for lack of better word) the way that lilacs and some spring florals do, to balance it out. I hope that doesn’t make it sound bad, it is necessary for a realistic floral note. I can imagine those orange flowers as well as some wet, humid, green stems. I feel like the osmanthus and clementine must have combined in a way that made me really unable to get any vanilla ice cream, which is strange because the vanilla is usually the strongest and longest lasting note from the sorce perfumes I have tried. It is a really nicely done floral citrusy perfume that screams orange! to me but personally, it is not really my jam. I like the smell of petrichor but with this perfume, I didn’t get any petrichor until way later in the dry down, like after my whole day of work (Yes, it lasts that long and more, sorce’s longevity is amazing). I wonder if I needed to shake my sample up, or if I am less sensitive to it because I have perfumes with petrichor that I frequent more? I did look to see what other people say about the perfume and everyone else mentioned the petrichor more prominently but I guess the beauty of perfume is everyone smells it differently, that’s why I love getting samples. It is so generous for Sorce to include this sample in my order and I am glad to be trying stuff I wouldn’t usually try!
I am eager to see what other people thought and also I am curious to know what other peoples experiences are with osmanthus! I rarely see it mentioned in perfumes and the one time I had it was in a special edition skittles pack from China that I got at a bodega in NYC.
